After doing my questionnaire i have decided to change from doing a youth and society genre to a thriller this is because the people i questioned found these trailers better and liked the genre overall better.

Youtube account

In order to keep my media coursework organised i have created a YouTube account containing a play list with all the trailers i have looked at and researched so far. This allows me too look at all the various codes and conventions they use and compare easily for this specific type of marketing.Furthermore trailers can be very hard to find and once found they can be lost therefore as soon as i see the trailer i am looking for i can add it to my teaser trailer play list and it wont be lost. Also YouTube is a specific site for videos therefore the quality of the teaser trailers are better than various other websites, some trailers can also be found in HD making a dramatic difference. For further research i can get viewers of these trailers to comment their opinions about them

I will look at these films and their cross-media campaign in order to find conventions for the thriller genre as this is the genre of the teaser film trailer i will be producing.

Demographic Breakdown from IDMB

By looking at the demographic breakdown for the people who have voted on inception we can tell straight away that both females and males have viewed and voted on this film and therefore has a wider target audience than what i originally anticipated. we then see that the most popular age group of the audience watching this film is males under 18 this is similar to the target audience i will be aiming my cross media campaign at.
In the demographic breakdown for the people who have voted for pulp fiction the most popular gender is male this isn't by much however is different to the previous statistics. The most popular age group for the viewing and voting of this film is male under 18 this is the same as previous and seems to be a consistent target audience for the thriller genre
Again for the godfather the most popular age group is male under 18's and the overall most popular genre for watching this film and voting on it is male.
These are three well known popular which were highlighted in previous reseach onthriller films. Due to this demographic breakdown it has helped me become more certain about the target audience i would like to aim my media product at which will be male under 18.
